    Pros +

    • Staff was amazing! Very helpful and very polite. Staff met all needs and requests made and was very professional. I wish all staff was like this in the United States!
    • Good spacious room, wonderful breakfast.Great location.Friendly staff
    • Pastell was just perfect. In the Old City but down a smaller street so quiet and felt like a bit of an escape. Would definitely come back again!

    Cons -

    • Shower floor had mold all over the floor, as well as mold all over the shower walls and shower curtain. I had to hit shower shoes just so my feet wouldn¿t touch the floor. Very disappointing. Hotel would have been 100% great if it wasn¿t for the shower.
    • The balcony is very small (can not change, can not make it bigger). There are very few racks to hang clothes.
    • Cleanliness, particularly of the bathroom was disappointing. Shower curtain appeared to have mildew and there was a need to run the air purifier to make the odor better.

Simplicity, cleanliness, staff so accommodating. The location was great. The breakfast was cooked to order. I would definitely return.

The hotel was located in a small alleyway but was very accessible, even with a big van. The staff were very friendly and offered drinks upon arrival. Check-in and checkout process very smooth. The room had very cute design but downside is just that the rooms were a bit small so it was cramp to fit in multiple luggage. The breakfast consisted of 3 different set (mainly bread, salad, egg) and buffet, which was for free and it was great too! Probably the best bread i had in Thailand. There is a cafe on the ground floor as well (which is where the breakfast is served). and their drinks are great! Would definitely stay here again!

Room a bit small so be mindful when booking if you have many luggage!

The bed was comfortable, the toiletries supplies were very nice, extra toilet paper was very useful and generous, good size tv, furnishings and design of the room is very pretty. Comfy pillows. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

Breakfast was a little confusing, would be nice to have a simple menu printed out with the options rather than signs spread out everywhere. There was mould in the shower.

Nice place to stay, close from everything. The room was big and very comfortable.

Rooms are pretty special, we loved the decoration, the sloppy ceiling and the curved shower. Very nice design. There is a wire on the balcony, pull it and use the hook on opposite wall, then you can dry your clothes/ bath suits. Breakfast was okBeautiful entrance and lobbyNot far is a 7/11 convenience storeBehind the hotel, in the same alley, there is a nice and simple restaurant, sorry doesn't recall the name.

Location is a bit far from Sunday market, but ok if you like to walk Be aware the safety box is above the fridge, which heat everything you put in the safety box, telephones, ipad... The swimming pool was a bit cold, well for us and it can be a bit too noisy when people enjoy the pool while your room has a view on it. We rented this place for the pool but finally enjoyed it once.

The customer service, location, breakfast, and ambiance of the hotel were wonderful.

The rooms are a bit small, but we didn't spend much time in them.

    10SavannahPosted on: 6-20-2025

The perfect spot for our one-night stay in Chiang Mai! The staff was friendly, the room was cute, and it was a pretty good location - only a 10min walk from the old town night market. Breakfast was good and although we didn’t get the chance to use the pool, it looked like the perfect little escape from the city.

I loved everything. I was there during the earthquake, in March 2025. It wasn't the hotel’s fault, of course. So, this mean that the hotel has a good construction, because the building is there. The staff very friendly and helpful. I loved it.

The staff were very accommodating. The place is clean, aesthetically pleasing and the food was good. We were not able to use their pool since it was raining.

Great little boutique hotel with great location in old town. Fantastic coffee and the breakfast was really good as well. Rooms were as expected, clean and comfortable.

The only incident was that the kids had a rather large spider in their room (about the size if a grown mans hand) but the staff helped to remove it and gave the kids a new room, I dont want this to be poorly reflected at the hotel as it was quite lush around the pool as sometimes nature naturally extends beyond, thought I would just mention it.

Pastell is a boutique hotel conveniently located in the Old Town of Chiang Mai. The maintenance is high level, everything is flawless. The staff is helpful, the room has a good size, the bed is comfortable, the water pressure of the shower is great and the breakfast is nice. We had to do an early check out due to an early morning flight and they've arranged us a breakfast box.

The pool is small and shady, but anyway can be enjoyed. Considering all the hotel positive aspects, this is just a minor observation.

Cute place in a good location in the old town. Lovely room and staff were really friendly

    9CarlyPosted on: 4-9-2025

We had a great time here, staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good and the pool lovely to cool off in. Great location for exploring the old town. The only downside was the mattress up on the mezzanine level was very hard.

    10KurthaPosted on: 4-3-2025

A relaxed and characterful hotel in a convenient location for our family of four's 3 day visit to Chiang Mai. Staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly and were always happy to help with inquiries and advice. It was clean and well maintained with good facilities for an intimate location. We were really happy with our stay.
